As Senior Communications Manager, Content Planning, you will:
- Ensure the Enterprise Communications’ Content team meets deadlines and runs efficiently.
- Maintain production schedules and establish processes to effectively track omnichannel content produced by the editorial, creative and events and engagement teams.
- Maintain a comprehensive content calendar, working with content strategists, editorial, creative and vice president to capture and track all work actively in planning, development and production.
- Navigate content packages through the production process, ensuring team members are accountable to their pieces of the package (reviews, revisions, creative assets), liaising with business stakeholders to ensure everyone is effectively meeting deadlines.
- Manage agency and contractor support for key departmental functions such as design/photo support.
- Partner with the team’s platform lead to recommend and implement new digital platforms which enable optimized production and partner on content enhancement processes such as SEO optimization as needed.
- Help ensure error-free editorial content by establishing effective copy-editing process for content in flight.
- Establish team meeting schedule for workflow, including a weekly/monthly deadline meeting.
- Support and partner with the vice president and editorial, creative and events leaders on other special projects.

About You:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years of professional communications experience
- Excellent attention to detail, project management and time management skills
- Previous experience related to process, project management, trafficking or production
- Dynamic, highly organized multi-tasker with a proven track record of managing multiple projects on schedule in a newsroom-like environment
- Ability to liaise with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working in a matrixed environment
- Familiarity with AP style/editorial best practices; excellent editing, grammar and copyediting skills
- Familiarity with popular and emerging social platforms
This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$85,400.00 USD - $153,700.00 USD.
