The Opportunity:
Our Finance team is looking for an experienced Procurement professional to step in and lead our purchasing and vendor management processes. Reporting to the CFO, you will collaborate with both internal stakeholders and TrueML’s growing vendor network to ensure operational excellence across the organization.
About you:
- A thoughtful collaborator, and great listener, keenly focused on understanding business challenges, building strong relationships and driving even stronger outcomes
- Able to “zoom in and out” of details when needed. You have a bias for action, love to “roll up the sleeves” and get into the data and analysis while keeping the bigger picture in focus
- You take a data-driven approach to solving problems, comfortably navigate ambiguity, and never hesitate to suggest how we could be doing things better
- An excellent communicator capable of translating complex, nuanced, or detailed analysis into clear, actionable summaries or recommendations
What You'll Do:
- Manage the Procurement and Vendor Management program in the form of process creation, iteration, maintenance, and training
- Partner closely with senior leadership and budget owners to understand and support business strategy, investment priorities, and vendor compliance requirements
- Manage the vendor lifecycle with current and future vendors. Ensure success in vendor relationships, monitor contract expirations, partner closely with internal stakeholders on strategies, and initiate renewal negotiations with suppliers
- Manage the Procurement workflow, coordinating contract movement, ensuring adequate protection and favorable terms in all vendor agreements, and organizing all documentation related to vendor onboarding, delivering excellent customer experience for both internal and external parties
- Leverage TML’s Vendor Management System (currently GraphiteConnect) to conduct annual audits across all critical vendors to minimize business risk and ensure all regulatory, client, and data security certification requirements are satisfied (PCI DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Represent TML in commercial negotiations with vendors to drive favorable pricing and terms, and ensure risk mitigation. You will lead strategic, potentially complex, multi-faceted negotiations with vendors, including technical service providers critical to TML’s day-to-day operations and long-term success
- Develop and communicate procurement best practices across the organization
- Identify and lead the execution of spend management projects that accomplish key objectives. Those objectives may include savings, process effectiveness, supplier consolidation & management, risk reduction & management, improved visibility & control of expenditures
- Create, monitor, and report on procurement and vendor management KPI’s/metrics
What We're Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience in finance or business operations, procurement, sourcing, or a similar role with a heavy focus on building scalable processes and vendor negotiations
- 3+ years experience directly managing and developing teams
- Deep knowledge of, and experience negotiating with many of the common vendors across typical categories of a high-growth technology company
- Familiarity with GSuite, Slack, Jira, and Monday.com
- Prior experience working in a highly regulated industry like financial services is a plus
