Job Overview

T-Mobile’s Product Experience, Design & Innovation team is looking for a design and technology leader with a passion for design systems and exceptional customer experiences. You will be at the center of all product development and play a key role in building our next generation of product experiences. In this role you’ll partner closely with leaders from design, product, and engineering to build high-quality experiences at scale across dozens of products for web, mobile and retail. You will be a champion for the design systems and will help to continuously improve the team's process, culture, and communication of our work. You will drive and work with other leaders to identify, prioritize, and evangelize strategic opportunities to improve execution and processes. The successful candidate is a deep systems thinker and who has successfully led teams of designers and content strategists to build exemplary customer experiences. Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the strategy/design/partnership of the T-Mobile design system between product management, engineering, design and other groups.
  • Being accountable for the performance, quality control, and the results of a group of UX practitioners including design & engineering expertise
  • Build a collaborative culture and encourage deep partnership with cross-functional teams, setting a high bar for design craft, and define and implement design strategy across releases on multiple platforms
  • Provide a strong system design perspective, crafting scalable models which improve the quality and set the future direction for all T-Mobile product experiences
  • Collaborate across product areas to diplomatically advocate for the T-Mobile Design system, exploring new product opportunities, promoting standards, and integrating feedback and changes into design system as appropriate
  • Coach and expand a team of UX practitioners that work in an agile environment supporting a common experience and standardized ways of working across teams
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to conceptualize ideas and implement solutions across all digital touch points

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • 7-10 years Work experience in a related field.
  • 2-4 years Work experience in a leadership role.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. T-Mobile's Commitment Washington Pay Range : $164,800.00 - $222,900.00 The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
