The Sr Manager, Product Performance Manager leads the team evaluating product performance for Device Financing, Trade-In, Subsidy and Early Upgrade products. This leader will execute the vision, design, and reporting roadmap to ensure products meet performance and profitability targets including setting Trade Values to deliver target margins. Additionally, this leader’s team will maintain a deep understanding of each the product’s design enabling analysis of harvested data for reasonableness. This position reports to the Product Management Director supporting these products: Equipment Installment Plan, JUMP On Demand Lease, Purchase on Installment Plan, No Service EIP, T-Mobile Trade, Metro Trade, JUMP Upgrade, and TfB Device Subsidy. This leader will need to be highly collaborative with the Sr Manager Device Financing and Sr Manager Trade & Upgrade leaders and build strong and productive relationships with our FinPro, IDS, FP&A, Reverse Logistics, and D&SC Analysis teams.Responsibilities:

  • Works in collaboration with Director to develop strategy, plan, goals (outcomes) for product suite.
  • Collaborates extensively with back office, marketing, logistics, finance, and data warehouse teams to create accurate reporting and execute analysis enabling leadership to make informed decisions.
  • Overall lead in providing financial and metric information to the product governance processes
  • Regularly assess market conditions for sale of used devices analyzing trends which could drive prices up or down for high volume make/models
  • Monitor performance of our 3rd Party vendor’s Device Valuation Service ensuring data being used to recommend Trade Values is reasonable
  • Monitor Reverse Liquidations sales trends for use in forecasting
  • Partner with device planning, FP&A, and promotions to forecasts Trade volumes
  • Set team goals and routinely meet with each team member assisting with removal of roadblocks, aid in creative thinking through problems and ensuring leadership requests are delivered.
  • Partners with Product Managers on product enhancements ensuring impacts to metrics are considered and development requirements outlined
  • Incorporate these trends along with actual sales data to forecast trade sales in the future setting trade values given customers at levels that achieve our margin goals
  • Assist direct reports with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure scope and outcomes are delivered.
  • Regularly observe and create opportunities to observe direct reports and note positive, as well as constructive feedback. Share and review feedback with your direct reports in a timely manner.
  • Hire, manage, and develop a team of high performing managers and individual contributors.
  • May be required to serve or execute the role of Product Manager for a specific product or group of products.
  • Effective and efficient communication with Leadership (written and verbal), while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence.
  • Approve time off requests, expenses in a timely manner for direct reports.
  • Ensures direct reports complete required trainings and certifications in timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant Product Management experience in the wireless industry
  • 2 – 4 years of experience managing teams in direct reporting relationship
  • Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance or equivalent experience.

Washington Pay Range : $175,400.00 - $237,300.00The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
