Position is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as project needs demand.

Incumbent can be located anywhere within the Arvest 4 State Footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK). Remote work options may be available outside of the 4-state footprint upon further review during the interview process.

Job Title: Senior Manager, Cloud and DevOps Engineering

The Senior Manager, Cloud and DevOps Engineering will be responsible for leading a team to design, build, and maintain the company's cloud infrastructure and improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of the company's software development and deployment processes. This includes designing and implementing scalable and highly available cloud solutions, managing and optimizing the use of automation and CI/CD tools, and ensuring that the company's cloud infrastructure and systems meet the needs of the business.

The Senior Manager, Cloud and DevOps Engineering will also be responsible for mentoring and developing the team members, setting team goals and objectives, and managing the team's budget and resources.

What You’ll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Lead and manage a team of Cloud and DevOps engineers, includes hiring, training, and development.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Arvest’s cloud infrastructure and CI/CD processes.
  • Ensure the stability, scalability, and security of the cloud environment through proactive monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the use of automation and CI/CD tools and ensure scalability and security of the company's systems.
  • Work closely with development teams to support the deployment and operation of applications in the cloud.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to define and implement infrastructure and application monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest cloud and DevOps technologies and best practices, and continuously improve the company's infrastructure and processes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and policies related to the cloud environment.
  • Manage budgets and optimize costs related to the cloud infrastructure.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Toolbox for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience leading and managing technical teams
  • Proficiency in the following:
  • One or more cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Automation and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef)
  • One or more CI/CD tool (GitLab, Jenkins, or CircleCI)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Software development and deployment processes and best practices
  • Infrastructure, cloud architecture, and application security best practices
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
