In this vital role you will lead the design and implementation of Omnichannel promotions for Otezla Rheumatology, Rheum speaker bureau and congresses. Otezla exceeded $2B in worldwide product sales in 2022 and represents an important growth opportunity for Amgen over the next several years with a robust life-cycle management plan. Most importantly, Otezla serves a differentiated and key role in the market for active PsA patients. Otezla can have a significant impact on patients, and you can influence and further evolve Otezla’s promotional strategy and tactics to HCPs.

This role will report to the Marketing Director for Otezla and is primarily responsible for designing and implementing the HCP omnichannel ecosystem for Otezla in rheumatology. As part of this responsibility, this person will lead the design of the optimal customer experience for the HCP, considering the various ways providers can engage with Amgen, including via the sales force, speaker programs, congresses, digital, and others. Key to this position will be strong cross-functional collaboration and project leadership by liaising with Amgen’s Global Customer Capabilities team and agency partners to understand what capabilities could be implemented for Otezla today and help inform a roadmap to achieve a future optimized state. In addition, this person will be responsible for creative development of marketing materials to support this omnichannel journey, in partnership with the full Otezla HCP marketing team. This person will also lead the Rheumatology speaker bureau and congresses

This position will consist of agency and vendor management, as well as matrix management across Amgen’s commercial, medical, legal, and regulatory enterprises.

  • Lead the development of US HCP omnichannel customer journey, also known as customer 360 targeting Rheumatologists across search, display, print, to drive impact and growth for the brand
  • Develop third-party custom programs and non-personal promotions ensuring creative/campaign excellence and integration with overall HCP marketing strategic imperatives, behavioral objectives, and messaging priorities.
  • Support ongoing initiatives that will strengthen the “right message, right customer, right time” vision that is the cornerstone of our omni-channel approach
  • Support the Amgen-wide, cross-brand channel, digital, and content strategy working closely across all functions
  • Lead internal review / approval process for promotional materials
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the brand plan delivering strategies and tactics that aligns to their focus area in peer-to-peer and non-personal tactics
  • Lead the Otezla speaker bureau including presentation decks and managing the speakers including supporting speaker training, compliance, and product theater speaker management
  • Lead brand activity at key regional and national Rheumatology conferences, including product theaters and other brand activities
  • Manage regional sponsorship budget, including securing sponsorships, speaker contracts and executing regional congress plan

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

Associate’s Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA in marketing, healthcare management, or related subject area
  • 2+ years of experience in developing, executing, and measuring campaigns for specialty products or experience promoting statins
  • Record of growing responsibility within sales and marketing
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and solve problems
  • Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results in a heavily matrixed, fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and ability to drive influence across partners to set direction, align work efforts, and ensure flawless execution
  • Experience working closely with field sales organizations to implement marketing programs with measurable business impact
  • Outstanding project leadership skills and experience managing multiple vendors and agency partners
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience developing and executing clinical marketing programs
  • Demonstrated track record of flexibility to adapt to evolving market dynamics

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $140,752 - $171,525.
