What you’ll do
As Senior Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for launching integrated marketing campaigns for Advisory Board’s members promoting current and new products. You will plan, execute, and track multi-channel member outreach campaigns that educate the market on our new offerings and engage clients. This will include communicating our new products’ value and engaging clients while also generate leads through up-sell and cross-sell opportunities. You will need to translate positioning, messaging, and strategy into clear, impactful marketing communications to drive demand and create lifetime customers. You will also be responsible for monitoring client engagement utilization metrics, analyzing the data and reporting it to key stakeholders to inform ongoing client and prospect engagement strategies.

You will work closely with leaders from marketing, research, product development, and commercial functions to plan and deliver targeted campaigns that establish brand consistency and drive sales.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, plan and execute newsletters to support multiple target segments to delight and engage existing clients and up-sell and cross-sell new product offerings
- Support the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products
- Create, write, and edit marketing emails and other communications
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of client marketing campaigns on an ongoing basis, and report back to key stakeholders
- Create and manage campaign calendar, hitting milestones on time
- Closely partner with marketing teammates to support prospect-facing campaigns
- Work with research, product development, client success, sales teams on product positioning to clients and other target buyers
- Maintain health care industry knowledge

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- 5+ years of work experience
- 2+ years of experience in a marketing or marketing-related role (writing, editorial, digital, commercial, etc.)
- Experience delivering client and/or prospect facing marketing campaigns and/or messaging through email and web channels
- Knowledge of the health care industry
- Understanding of the customer journey and proven ability to align messaging strategies
- Understanding of lead generation and the marketing-sales funnel
- Proven ability to use analytics tools and make data-driven decisions
- Demonstrated ability to use and learn new marketing tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with designing client retention and/or acquisition marketing strategy
- Experience with Eloqua or other marketing automation technology
- Experience managing web content with Sitecore, AEM or other content management system
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM
- Experience with analytics tools like DOMO and Google Analytics
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience translating business goals into actionable campaigns
- Familiarity with SEO, SEM, Google Ads, and paid media
- Solid writing skills
- Solid attention to detail and project management acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence through conversation
- Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems
- Proven ability to meet and exceed goals

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
