How will you make an impact?
Digital transformation is becoming a strategic imperative for companies to be competitive. We are looking for an experienced Senior New Business Development Manager who can navigate customers and lead sales processes at the highest and most senior levels. The right candidate for this position is someone who is ready to help our customers understand how our digital technologies and scientific software can help them do their important work like develop and make vaccines, find cures for cancer, protect the environment, or make sure our food is safe.
What will you do?
- Focus on opening doors and developing relationships with senior decision makers in target customers with a focus on non-current customers
- Manage long term opportunities for high-value, high complexity sales process for a class leading enterprise software in the scientific domain
- Introduce new scientific software products to target customers.
- Be an ambassador for our customers, understand and interpret customer feedback for product management & R&D.
- Guide our sales specialists and software services teams to help drive an enterprise software sales lifecycle from initial trigger through to customer success.
- Expand the funnel of high-value software sales opportunities and grow revenue!
How will you get here?
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a Scientific or Information Technology field, or proven experience.
- MBA or professional business education preferred
Experience
- 8-years sales experience, 5-years experience selling software or IT products and services
- Deep understanding of the IT requirements and strategies of customers in industries that we serve.
- Track record of winning new high-value customers for software or IT infrastructure in relevant industries
- Existing relationships with senior IT decision makers in target industries (Pharma, Petrochemical, Contract Testing Laboratories).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Position may require Covid-19 vaccination, including a booster and/or routine testing, per client discretion. As a requirement to be onsite at Thermo Fisher Scientific this position requires vaccination status disclosure upon employment.
- Confident communicator, able to present to senior decision makers, c-suite executives our innovative software solutions that drive greater efficiencies!
- Any knowledge of requirements for regulated laboratories such as Pharmaceutical QC is a bonus
- Strong knowledge of modern IT trends such as cloud infrastructure and passionate about how digital technologies can help solve problems.
- Willingness to travel 50% or greater of working time over any 1-year period.
