Upwork’s growth partnership team sits within Upwork’s BD & Partnerships team and is on a massive mission to connect customers looking for freelancer expertise, professional services, and flexible staffing with top Upwork talent through integrated partnerships. We are focused on launching new partnerships that will drive customer starts and revenue, and our journey is just beginning! We are looking for a partner manager to round out the team and amp up the energy we have harnessed.
As a Sr. Partner Manager, you will be responsible for managing existing partnerships and for laying the groundwork for partner implementation, internal partnership announcements, partner performance metrics, and pipeline reporting configuration. The Sr. Partner Manager is the glue that keeps our internal teams on track for partner launches and an outgoing person who enjoys interfacing with partners. As the Sr. Partner Manager, you’ll collect launch criteria, problem solve, deliver our solutions, and ensure that the partner is having a great experience as part of our program. Our partnerships team is the friendliest in the biz, and we are relying on our operations manager to add to the team energy.
Your Responsibilities:
- Interfacing with partners to collect launch criteria
- Manage existing partnerships and develop strategic plans for partner growth
- Project planning with internal product, design, and marketing teams to ensure that the partner team is ready to launch an opportunity at a moment’s notice.
- Implementation of new partner products
- Creating an operating procedure and ecosystem for partnerships with all of our internal tools (CRM, Highspot, Outreach, BI tools, etc.)
- Monitoring of partner metrics
- Occasional partner management duties, including owning some regular scheduled partner calls, QBRs, partner growth strategies, and overall relationship management of select partnerships.
- Assisting to deliver key business reviews for the department
What it Takes to Catch our Eye:
- You have 7+ years of work experience in partner operations, program management, or partner management.
- A broad range of technical capabilities and fluent usage of platforms like BI tools, CRM, marketing tools, partner portals and tools, etc.
- Experience leading and influencing cross functional teams for a partnerships or sales department
- A deep curiosity of the world of work
- Enthusiasm and a heart for connecting with people and understanding deep problem solving
- An “anything can be done” type of attitude
The annual base salary for this position in California and Washington ranges from $130,000 - $208,000. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position in California and Washington, and individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for the annual bonus plan or sales incentive plan and eligibility to participate in our long term equity incentive program
