We are looking for a leader to accelerate our Confluent Partnerships in the field. 

We are seeing significant growth in Confluent partnerships. Thus, we are looking for someone to join the Partner & Alliances field team to cultivate, accelerate and close opportunities with Confluent partners in the South Central region. This person will also strengthen and build field relationships and take the partnerships to the next level.

This position reports to the Americas Partner Director and is responsible for the sell with/go-to-market engagement and joint activities with the partners. This includes planning, co-selling, and driving field marketing activities. The Partner Manager will be part of the team coordinating Confluent sales activities and be a central conduit for engagement management between Confluent’s sales organization and partners. You will be an expert on all aspects of the Confluent and present at QBRs, executive meetings, training, and trade events.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive/manage joint sales and go-to-market (GTM) activities with partner teams
  • Track & support partner opportunities/forecasts
  • Drive sourced opportunities with partners
  • Work with the Confluent HQ team to develop a regional partner strategy and execute the plan
  • Facilitate co-selling opportunities, account mapping, and other sales engagements between Confluent’s field sales and the partner sales teams
  • Deliver sales enablement to partners
  • Work with Confluent’s Partner Solutions Engineers and Marketing teams to develop, launch and support Confluent-based industry solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner sales teams and executives, especially the Data & AI teams, to grow awareness of Confluent’s value
  • Attend & support Confluent events with partners
  • Provide training for Confluent’s field sales teams on partners’ joint solutions
  • Recruit, enable, and develop SI Partners
  • Provide support for channel activity with SI Partners

What You Will Achieve:

  • Bookings generated through co-selling and influence by partners in the region
  • Leads and sourced opportunities through engagement with partners
  • Partner Field Sales and Executive relationships and collaboration
  • Development of joint Industry-based solutions
  • Ability to work well with the partners and Confluent sales organization 
  • Portfolio of certified and productive SI partners to support the region’s business
  • Enablement of key partners and development of critical partners in the region
  • Partner satisfaction and loyalty

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of related experience in Channel Partner Management or Business Development
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Familiarity with Cloud/ISV/SI partners and joint co-sell motion
  • Knowledge of Apache Kafka and/or other streaming data platforms preferred
  • Ability to connect and articulate business and technology strategy
  • The right attitude - Self-starter and can work independently with a strong sense of urgency and passion to make great things happen.
  • Experience working in a fast-moving customer-led culture is essential.
  • Ability to multi-task and keep several actions moving forward at once. 
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills are required - both internally & with the partners.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working in Open Source software, enterprise messaging, or analytics companies is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Data stack, stream processing technologies, and/or ecosystems preferred
  • BA/BS degree required. MBA Preferred.

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits aligned with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $188,700 - $230,200 USD, commissions, and a competitive equity package.
