About Coffee Meets Bagel

Coffee Meets Bagel is a women-founded, women-led organization created to give everyone a chance at love. Since 2012 we’ve made over 200 million matches and countless serious relationships happen.

Now we’re on the lookout for a Senior Product Designer to elevate our team and help design the future of dating. This is a contract/temporary position to start, but for the right person it could turn into a full-time role.

Our Product team, while small, is fiercely dedicated to developing the best dating experience for relationship-seekers.

We thrive on an agile approach, which enables us to quickly absorb learnings and make data-driven decisions. As a key member of our team, you will infuse your product design expertise throughout the development cycle — from discovery to post-launch iteration — and ensure user needs remain central to our process.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Work with product managers to break down complex, sometimes ambiguous problems into concrete concepts and successful solutions
  • Collaborate closely with our product managers and content designer, as well as engineers and our customer experience team, to take features from start to finish — and ensure solutions drive desired UX, business, and technical outcomes
  • Continue to build and maintain our atomic design system
  • Join bi-weekly critique sessions with our small design team

Qualifications we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability in a leading contributor role crafting user experiences on both Android & iOS platforms
  • A proven track record of launching successful features that solve real user problems and iterating post-launch based on data
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your visual and experiential design prowess
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment and collaborating with other designers, product managers, engineers, customer support teams, and marketers
  • Fluency in Figma
  • Ability to build and maintain atomic design systems
  • Great communication skills and the ability to move projects forward with design recommendations based in data, user empathy, and best practices
  • Excellence in UX thinking, visual design, and written communication
  • Takes ownership – a key value at CMB. Here, ownership means driving change, being proactive, resourceful, and persistent. It's about going the extra mile to achieve results
