About the Role
G2 is looking for a dedicated Senior Product Designer with deep UXR experience to join our product team. We are looking for someone passionate about the user, visual design, and bringing research to action. You will support the mission by owning part of G2's product visual design and usability. You'll join a team of UX professionals and business owners to drive strategy and direction to deliver a marketplace vision. Additionally, you will work with product managers, marketers, engineers, analysts, and SEO to drive the planning, testing, and delivery of new features and the product roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Design Process: You'll create low and high-fidelity wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to validate new product and feature ideas. You improve the design process and contribute to a consistent and effective system of design to drive a cohesive product portfolio experience.
- Communication: You'll share research to drive the greatest impact within technical and non-technical internal team stakeholders, and partners. You will support customer and prospect discovery sessions, as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You'll partner with front-end and back-end development team members to create simple, scalable, and effective product experiences; coordinating with the product team to establish design priorities to drive the most impactful business results.
- Analytics and Testing: You run quantitative and qualitative tests and distill results into actionable plans for development initiatives. You are able to speak across the G2 internal organization and strategic partners to guide alignment.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a UX/UI Design role dealing with consumer-facing websites, apps, software and/or mobile experiences.
- Strong visual design aesthetic and experience in designing in an agile environment.
- Familiarity in designing across multiple screen sizes and devices.
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Abstract and Sketch or Figma in a mac environment; knowledge of Abstract or another user insight tool a plus.
- Research and validation experience including usability testing and a/b testing.
- Exceptional UI design, including but not limited to, concepts, prototypes.
- Deep understanding of data visualization.
- Ability to work with large data sets and how they map to UI outputs.
- Experience creating sitemaps, wireframes, and customer journeys.
- Marketing understanding and execution is a plus.
- Animation skills are a plus.
- Desire to be part of a team that values great design and high-quality work.
- Ability to recognize UX/UI issues and propose solutions.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
- Clear passion about G2 portfolio and ability to identify possibilities in our industry.
- Ability to understand business objectives and stakeholder needs and translate them into solutions.
- Anticipates problems, and seeks opportunities.
