Full Job Description

You will leverage your deep understanding of our shared experience design platform and how it's applied to our digital products. You'll be responsible for guiding other designers, engineers and product owners toward standard and scalable design decisions for internal-facing experiences. In this hands-on designer role, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team that includes researchers, content writers, product managers, engineers, and business partners to create design tokens, components, patterns, and templates that enable JP Morgan to build market-leading product experiences for different personas across our desktop platform.

Senior Product Designers are part of multi-disciplinary teams, including experience researchers and content designers, committed to designing the future of banking. Senior Product Designers are expected to be strong partners with Product Owners and Engineers, involved in prioritization, planning, and decisions along the way to execution.

What You'll Do

  • Be a leader in the definition and curation of shared design and experiences across all our digital products
  • Partner with designers, developers, and product owners to apply and evolve our design patterns Develop thinking through wireframes, visual studies, motion studies, prototypes
  • Present and communicate work and recommendations to the larger design organization
  • Ensure our design patterns maintain the highest of quality standards
  • Build relationships with other design leads and key stakeholders to drive adoption of design patterns Identify opportunities to increase the consistency of our customer experience
  • Prioritize work based on needs, impact, and available resources
  • Execute processes and produce artifacts the support other members of the team Work collaboratively and contribute to the success of a multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to high performing teams through the development of self and others, emphasizing continuous learning and growth
  • Articulating design rationale persuasively in both verbal and written communications Influence others and provide thought leadership on design Research and look for opportunities to solve problems in unusual and innovative ways
  • Advocate for Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices
  • Support recruiting processes, reaching out to potential candidates, taking part in interviews

Our Desired Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of system-level or design systems experience
  • Ability to synthesize complex, interdependent, and sometimes competing needs
  • Prior Salesforce experience preferred
  • Self-directed; in both planning and structuring your effort, and executing and expected levels of quality, you don't need someone guiding you through the work
  • Demonstrated experience with user-centered and human-centered design approaches
  • Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other designers, ux researchers, and content designers) and cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers
  • Demonstrates strong Interaction Design and Visual/UI skills
  • Proficiency in adjacent skills such as Information Architecture, User Research, UX Writing, and Prototyping
  • Able to show how their understanding of technical constraints and opportunities informed design solutions; familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Advocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices
  • Portfolio of work available for review
