Sr. Product Manager, Blockchain

OAK Network will be a parachain of Polkadot, and is being building off of the Substrate blockchain framework in Rust. This is a highly technical role, that requires both strong computer science and communication skills. You'll be part of OAK's blockchain development team and lead efforts to create product & API specifications, design integration plans with XCM partners, and communicate node upgrades with network validators.

What you'll do

  • Fully comprehend the design of OAK automation module and Polkadot's XCM protocol
  • Create high-quality XCM integration plans for our parachain partners
  • Write technical instructions such as node upgrade documentation
  • Coordinate with network validator for node upgrades
  • Work directly with the CEO to translate product roadmap into actionable engineering implementation plans
  • Track velocity towards key milestones, while making it visible to the wider team and community using Github projects, Lucidchart, and Notion

What it takes

  • A strong background in software engineering or computer science.
  • Understand the architecture of Polkadot or Substrate framework
  • Familiar with Proof-of-Stake consensus
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Experience with large distributed system is a plus
