Your opportunity

As a Senior Program Manager for Business Operations, you have a demonstrated track record of excellence managing sophisticated cross-functional workstreams and leading transformational programs focused on enabling action, accountability, and efficient execution. You will be a trusted business partner to Go-to-Market and Operations teams, and lead the implementation of key go-to-market strategic initiatives. This role has a highly cross-functional vantage point and voice and plays a critical role in delivering on the GTM organization’s strategy!

The ideal candidate is required to operate both strategically and operationally, bring fresh ideas to arrive at a focused and prioritized plan, and direct the cross-functional engagement. This role reports to the Head of the GTM Strategic Initiative Portfolio within New Relic’s Business Operations team.

Opportunity to work from a remote office may be available depending on applicant location.

What you'll do

  • Run strategic cross-functional projects and programs critical to driving our strategy, with emphasis on Go-to-Market, track and report to teams and leadership on the progress of program initiatives and program health
  • Identify cross-team dependencies in collaboration with a program's functional area leaders to ensure the teams are working on the right priority
  • Provide thought leadership and operate effectively at both operational and strategic levels
  • Build strong relationships with internal cross-functional leaders to coordinate business activities to collaborate and deliver seamless program execution
  • Proactively distill and communicate relevant information to management and team leads
  • Establish workflows that increase efficacy and efficiency of existing operational processes
  • Drive continuous improvements and high quality in the process and deliverables across teams
  • Demonstrate customer centricity in everything they do and help others more deeply understand underlying value drivers.

This role requires

  • 8+ years operations and program management experience involving many cross- functional teams across the organization
  • Experience defining projects, identifying risks, managing cost, coordinating scope, identifying dependencies, scheduling and deploying new processes
  • Demonstrate high EQ, tact, diplomacy, and self awareness. Is able to have courageous difficult discussions, guide and negotiate, navigate productively through conflict, and lead cross functionally at peer level and above to drive decisions forward
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to complete projects with multiple dependencies and constraints
  • Experience creating and cascading processes through an organization and effectively managing change
  • Efficiently run meetings based on audience and outcomes
  • Talent for turning ideas into practical plans
  • Data-driven with commitment to drive engagements towards business outcomes and value realization
  • Working understanding of project management tools (Asana, JIRA)

Bonus points if you have

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS
  • Experience in internal data analysis
  • Experience in Portfolio Management

Estimated Base Pay Range: $ 118,000 - $ 147,000

Consistent with New Relic's values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. The base pay range above represents a good faith estimate of the low and high end base pay range for the listed position. This role may be eligible for the corporate bonus plan (or, if a sales role, a commission plan as defined in the sales incentive plan document), participation in our stock equity plan, short- and long-term incentives, and other department-specific awards that may be applicable. In addition, New Relic provides a variety of benefits to employees. The range provided may also represent candidate ranges and may not reflect the full range or geographic differential for an individual tenured employee.
