Location: San Francisco, CA or Remote

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-performance scalable APIs using FastAPI and Langchain.
  • Implement detailed testing methodologies including unit and integration tests.
  • Handle backend processes including data engineering database management and security.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Capture and address technical and design requirements.
  • Fix and debug applications and perform tests to optimize performance.
  • Integrate classical backend operations with innovative Large Language Models Vector Stores and external APIs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Python backend developer
  • Experience with FastAPI, Langchain and AWS cloud services.
  • Proficiency in Python testing methodologies.
  • Experience with scalability and load balancing techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Spark, Scala, Hadoop, Hive and Kafka is a plus.
  • Experience in MicroStrategy reporting or equivalent tools is a plus.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $87K – $143K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
