Position Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Sr. UI/UX Designer to join our growing financial services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. We take a new way to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using new technologies.

The preferred location is Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN or Columbia, SC., but the position is open to Remote work anywhere in the US where there is a local CGI Office.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Sr. UI/UX Designer this offers you the flexibility to make every single day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Provide insight into design principles and creative methods to tackle sophisticated enterprise problems and achieve business objectives.
  • Lead the discovery, synthesis, ideation, design, and testing of new experiences, products, and tools.
  • Uncover user needs utilizing design research (e.g., user interviews, contextual inquiry, ethnography, etc.) to develop user-driven insights and inform new design concepts.
  • Work cross-functionally (i.e., with product management, researchers, developers, and design teams) to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the needs of the user, customer, or other actor are included in the product vision, strategy, and roadmap planning.
  • Own the design of sophisticated projects, including research, conceptualization, prototyping, and user testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visual, and experience.
  • Communicate design concepts and detailed design rationale to partners and team members.
  • Contribute to the development of design guidelines and standards.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Required 10 + yrs of proven experience as a Sr. UI/UX Designer role.
  • Required 5+ years of experience working with C-level executives.
  • Need 5 years of experience using the Figma tool.
  • Required 2 to 3 years of recent experience in Banking or Mortgage Industry.
  • Guide in the portfolio of design work that demonstrates a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Experience working within a multi-discipline team, leading design efforts on complex enterprise internal or B2B web applications.
  • Expertise in testing and validating ideas with interactive prototypes and testing.
  • Expertise crafting in tools software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite and InVision
  • Experience working with and contributing to Design System(s)
  • Required skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict.
  • Expert in communicating information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
  • Ability to conduct user research and usability testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
  • Excellent in communication and team player.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Skilled in Figma building interface designs, prototypes, and libraries.
  • Skilled in using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Best-in-class Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe XD, and Acrobat

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor's degree in design or computer science​

Master's Degree (Desirable)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $75,600.00 - $165,300.00.
