About Us:

Atomic is the venture studio that co-founds companies by pairing founders with the best ideas, teams, and resources, and funding those with the most potential. When entrepreneurs co-found Atomic, they team up with an experienced group of operators who have started dozens of companies and created billions of dollars in enterprise value. Industry disruptors like Bungalow, Found, Hims and Hers, Homebound, OpenStore, and Replicant all started at Atomic along with dozens more. Atomic was founded in 2012 by serial entrepreneur Jack Abraham and is headquartered in Miami and San Francisco with a distributed team across North America.

Company Overview:

We are a well-funded seed-stage company backed by Atomic VC and other prominent VC firms. We're building a different kind of fintech company. Purpose-built software integrated natively with intelligent fintech products, and we're focused on a $20B+ industry.

Who You Are:

After closing a fresh round of funding, our product team is now looking to make our first in-house Sr. Product Design hire.

We’re looking for a foundational Product Designer with a strong focus on UX design who can work autonomously and thrive in an early-stage, high-growth environment. You should be passionate about building products from zero to one and have experience in creating seamless user journeys for scaling digital products. You’ll be joining as our first in-house designer, working directly with the Head of Product, Enric Gili Fort, and a distributed engineering team.

As a member of our team, you will own the user journey and help us shape the foundation and design systems for future product growth. This is a hands-on role that requires someone with a creative mindset, strong system-thinking capabilities, and a passion for creating intuitive and valuable user experiences.

It’s an opportunity to join a company still in its infancy and create an elegant solution that delights our end users and unlocks tremendous value for them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the UX Design Process: Own and improve the user journey, ensuring that it aligns with both the company’s vision and user needs. Design seamless self-service onboarding experiences, reducing friction and increasing product engagement.
  • Develop Design Systems: Create and implement a scalable design system that aligns with our CSS framework (e.g. Tailwind) and can be adapted across multiple brands and platforms.
  • UX/UI for New Features: Collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to design new features, focusing on seamless mobile and web experiences.
  • Conduct User Research: Perform generative and evaluative research. Iterate based on real-time feedback and design improvements that enhance the user journey.
  • Foster Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineers, and external stakeholders to ensure consistency in design across all platforms.
  • Innovate and Scale: Proactively identify design challenges and opportunities. Contribute to product growth and the company’s long-term design strategy.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong UX/UI Expertise: Proven experience in designing UX workflows and design systems for complex products, especially in fintech, SaaS, or product-led growth environments.
  • User-Centered Design Approach: Strong experience in conducting user research and translating insights into effective design solutions.
  • Collaboration Skills: Experience working closely with product and engineering teams to bring ideas from concept to launch.
  • Innovative Thinking: Ability to anticipate future product growth needs and design with scalability in mind, minimizing the need for continuous rework.
  • Self-Starter Attitude: You’re a resourceful problem solver with a proactive mindset. You’re comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building design systems for web and mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with payment or fintech products is a plus.
  • Experience working in early-stage startups and taking a product from zero to one.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity package.
  • Fully remote position with flexibility in working hours across the USA.
  • An opportunity to build something from the ground up and make a tangible impact on the product and user base.
  • Access to Atomic’s network of seasoned entrepreneurs, operators, and resources.
