Position: Staff Accountant

Location: Remote (PST/MST)

As we continue to innovate and grow, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate financial operations and supporting our mission to empower development teams worldwide.

Responsibilities:

·        Collaborate closely with Senior Accountant to handle various accounting functions and assist in driving the overall financial strategy.

·        Establish and streamline processes for accounts payable, creating internal structures to ensure efficient and accurate payments.

·        Manage fixed assets, including recording and reconciling asset additions.

·        Oversee corporate credit card transactions and reconciliations.

·        Process and reconcile expense reports.

·        Provide backup support for accounts receivable when necessary.

·        Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, including month-end close tasks related to prepaid expenses and bank accounts.

·        Collaborate with an outsourced payroll firm by entering journal entries and reconciling payroll liability accounts.

·        Support miscellaneous accounting functions, including assisting with tax filings, audit preparations, and engagements.

·        Handle multi-currency transactions, specifically in USD and CAD.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or finance with accounting focus

·        3+ years of experience in a similar staff accounting role (preferably in SaaS industry)

·        Proficiency in Excel and experience working with various ERPs and CRMs.

·        Comfortable using payment systems such as QuickBooks, Bill.com, and credit card processing platforms.

·        Experience with system implementations and consolidations is highly desirable.

·        Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and a strong sense of follow-up and follow-through.

·        Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities within a small company environment.

·        Curiosity and a proactive mindset to ask thoughtful questions and seek continuous improvement.

·        Remote work experience and self-motivation to thrive in a virtual team setting.
