About the Accountant Position

The Staff Accountant’s job is to assist with the daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly operations of the accounting team. Maintains and controls the general ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization by applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records. You will be working in a fast-paced environment which requires the ideal candidate to have strong attention to detail and background of accounting principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the accuracy of entries and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
  • Performs daily, monthly GL reconciliations timely and accurately.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items: Bank, credit cards, accounts receivables, Deposit in transit, Stripe, Shopify transactions
  • Track recurring invoices and subscriptions to ensure timely payment.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations which should encompass proper supporting document.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Perform reconciliations timely and accurately. Investigate and resolve reconciling items timely.
  • Assist management in ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned.
  • Assists with the monthly close processes.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office skills.
  • Intermediate/Advanced in Quickbooks Online, Enterprise.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Detailed-oriented, strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Possess good problem-solving skills.
