Staff Accountant

As a staff accountant, you will be working under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and Controller. You will be responsible for assisting with recording transactions and preparing the monthly financial reports. This offers a unique opportunity for a motivated professional to become a key member of our operations team to help contribute to and manage our financial growth. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-changing environment and can manage multiple projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Establish proficiency entering transactions into a general ledger accounting system, including but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenses, and fixed assets;
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts;
- Perform reconciliations of corporate credit card activity;
- Manage employee expense reimbursements, reviewing submissions for accuracy and compliance with company policies;
- Lead Accounts Receivable efforts including collections, reporting and calculation of the allowance for doubtful accounts;
- Verify the timely and accurate invoicing of clients;
- Prepare and make bank deposits; process and post cash receipts;
- Perform weekly reconciliation of bank accounts;
- Support audit compliance through the timely, accurate and organized response to audit requests;
- Analyze ledger account activity, including but not limited to budget variance analysis;
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive corporate information.

Requirements:
- 5+ years related work experience;
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related area;
- Prior experience with a general ledger package, NetSuite experience is preferred;
- Strong written and oral communications skills, and comfort interacting with all levels of the organization;
- Advanced skills with the MS Office and Google Work Suite;
- Ability to work well with the team and independently;
- NetSuite and QuickBooks experience is strongly preferred;
- Attention to detail and effective multi-tasking skills;
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
This position is a remote position and open to applicants in the continental United States.
