To do that, we need a Staff Accountant to round out our growing Finance team and continue to help build on the work we’ve done. This is an opportunity to create more efficient processes for the future and ensure accurate and timely reporting for our internal and external stakeholders. You will succeed in this role if you can prepare journal entries, manage detailed daily expense management, prepare general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and monthly and year-end reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Manage daily bank detail process for multiple entities and multiple bank accounts, reconciling weekly
  • · Manage daily credit card transaction process through Expensify for multiple entities, reconciling weekly
  • · Enter daily sales invoices for multiple entities and various processors
  • · Own the full cycle AP process: daily invoice posting, approvals, and weekly payment runs
  • · Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them
  • · Prepare journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations and manage monthly close processes
  • · Prepare and analyze monthly financial package for reporting to the CFO
  • · Provide assistance to outside auditors: gather necessary account information, documents, and reconciliations to perform annual audit
  • · Assist with annual 1099 filings
  • · Assist with special projects and other related duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • · Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • · 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
  • · Sage Intacct proficiency (highly preferred)
  • · Expensify expense management software proficiency (preferred)
  • · Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
  • · Self-starter with strong ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality
  • · Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a remote environment
