About the role:

Vercel is looking for an experienced designer to join the Product Design team at the Staff level. You will work across our entire product, talking to customers, leading design initiatives, and creating thoughtful, systems-based solutions.

The design team at Vercel is comprised of capable and considerate humans working to solve challenges that are unique, complex, and nuanced—just like the web.

What you will do:

  • Report to our Director of Product Design, help Vercel further its core product, and enter new markets through design leadership and engineering partnership.
  • Contribute to the design process from gathering requirements and delivering visual specifications, to overseeing implementation.
  • Collaborate with growth, content, and engineering teams, across the full customer lifecycle.
  • Create user journeys, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
  • Work with engineers and other partners to ensure high-quality implementations.
  • Advocate for and mentor other designers and engineers.
  • Help grow the team and elevate design within the company.

About you:

  • 8+ years of experience in product design.
  • Excellent visual, verbal, UI, and interaction skills.
  • Well-rounded, comprehensive experience designing interactive products.
  • Passionate about delivering customer delight and figuring out the best solutions to UX, UI, and interaction challenges.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks, developer tooling, or managed infrastructure.

Bonus:

  • Experience with production code such as React/Next.js.
  • Motion design/3d visualization skills.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $152,000.00-$213,000.00. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your location during the hiring process.
