About the Role  

AssemblyAI just closed a strong funding round led by leading investors, and we are now looking to continue expanding our GTM team! We are actively searching for tenured sales executives to play a critical role in growing our business with strategic accounts. As a Strategic Account Executive, you will lead and navigate complex partnerships to deeply understand AssemblyAI’s value against customer needs and their roadmap. You will be responsible for increasing revenue with customers that have the highest visibility from our executives team – resulting in strong collaboration from Leadership, Product, Engineering, and Research to ensure AssemblyAI’s roadmap aligns to our strategic customers. 

What You’ll Need

  • 8+ years of technology sales experience growing existing accounts in a closing role​​
  • Requires strong relationship building skills to understand strategic account's vision and roadmap aligned to a value-driven partnership
  • Strong technical sales experience and high degree of confidence working with key stakeholders in engineering, product, and AI (e.g. Founder, CTO, CPO, etc.)
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles, negotiating, and closing deals with annual recurring revenue commitments
  • Strong understanding of API, database selling and creating compelling events
  • Thrives in a high energy, fast-growth startup environment with many priorities and have the ability to effectively manage your own time
  • You are a self-starter, well organized, creative, results-oriented, quality minded and a team-first player

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with existing strategic accounts to expand current use cases and cross-sell into new areas of their business
  • Drive account planning activities for assigned accounts, leveraging an internal team of pre-sales and post-sales experts to drive alignment around key customer outcomes
  • Develop relationships with technical leaders of strategic accounts - guiding key stakeholders (CTOs, Product Managers, Founders) from leading tech companies from pilot/launch to production, and working to constantly improve the overall experience
  • Deeply understand the impact Voice AI models can bring organizations and their own customer base
  • Demonstrate an ability to multi-thread and access key decision makers and C-level executives
  • Become a product expert for our APIs and employ a relationship driven and highly consultative sales approach and understand our competitive landscape

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size, stage and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.

There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.

Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.

Salary range: $150,000k - $300,000k
