Scope & Impact
The Strategic Account Executive is a new role focusing exclusively on creating and executing a sales strategy within an assigned set of accounts, delivering revenue growth and new customer acquisition.
What you will do
The key responsibilities for the role include:
- Proactively identify, generate, and close a sales pipeline
- Strategically prospect into Chief Digital Officers, Chief Technology Offices and Chief Information Officers
- Build strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities
- Work closely with marketing to drive lead generation, case studies, and thought leadership
- Work closely with our Partners (e.g. MongoDB) to drive client success
- Operate as an opportunity owner to work with and drive our designers and solution architects, to deliver proposals
- Provide continuity of client relationship between projects
Job requirements
Key attributes and behaviours to succeed in this role will be:
- Driven and competitive. Possess a strong desire to be successful
- Positive attitude with a desire to learn and grow
- A proven track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets
- 5+ years field experience of quota-carrying in a custom software development or systems integrator with a focus on closing new business. Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and run a complex sales process
- Ability to articulate the business value of complex digital solutions and technology services
- Exemplary standards of personal integrity and respect for others – professional approach to all aspects of interactions with stakeholders and collaborative team working, able to quickly build relationships based on trust and transparency.
