The Role:

As a key player on the Strategic Finance team at Gametime, you will support the team in building FP&A maturity and act as the “CFO” to the functional business teams. You will build and maintain financial models that are aligned with business drivers with deep understanding of the user funnel. You will also be analyzing data, making recommendations and forecasting accurately that deliver results and drive improvements that positively impact growth. This position will also resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations. Strong FP&A skills leveraging data and business partnering experience will be essential. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Partner with Product side of the organization in understanding consumer funnel behavior across platforms, categories and reflect appropriately in financial models
  • Act as the trusted “mini CFO” for business partners in decision-making, facilitate aligned cross-functional strategy execution
  • Build and manage financial models of Gametime leveraging strong modeling skills and business understanding 
  • Deep dive into key funnel KPIs to gain insights into our performance over time and drive innovation to our business model 
  • Independently align financial and operational analyses with your business partners, challenging business partner assumptions when necessary
  • Establish goals and ongoing measurement to support business teams
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and modeling as needed. Present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions, and planned future initiatives
  • Identify and implement opportunities to resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations
  • Other duties as required

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Finance, Accounting, Business degree or related field with 10+ years of experience
  • Proven experience in developing revenue models in direct-to-consumer technology industry and a deep understanding of user funnel behavior analysis; experience with marketplace business model is a strong asset
  • Proven experience in finance business partnering with the ability to work well in cross-functional settings; experience supporting Product teams is a strong asset
  • Proven experience in partnering with data science to establish guardrails & interpretation of A/B test results to apply in FP&A
  • Experience in annual budget / annual operating plan cycle management 
  • Qualified with CPA or CFA designation or MBA is an asset
  • Superior financial analysis and financial modeling skills
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized
  • Fluency in Excel / Gsheet, BI/database tools (such as Periscope or Tableau), and NetSuite 
  • Ability to work independently, readily adapt to and lead through an ambiguous environment
  • Proven expertise managing, evaluating, analyzing data quickly and creating meaningful business reporting
  • Proven ability to develop new ideas, process improvement and creative solutions; prior consulting experience is a bonus
  • Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis combined with proven ability to communicate concisely with meaningful commentary
  • Strong customer focus - both Internal / External

$135,000 - $150,000 a year

At Gametime pay ranges are subject to change and assigned to a job based on specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
