Strategic Partnerships Manager
Intro
Red Sky is a #StartupStudio with +18 years of experience developing IT tech & products. We are a strategic partner of the Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder fund. We cooperate through a unique business model that combines the skills of a startup studio and a venture capital fund. We operate using the #VentureBuilding formula – based on the experience of experts, we create IT solutions and support promising startups.
About the role
In this position, you will identify, attract, and establish strategic partnerships across Western Europe, Scandinavia, and the US. You'll conduct market research to identify potential partners and initiate and develop relationships within the startup ecosystem. You will lead negotiation processes with potential partners, collaborate with legal teams to finalize agreements and participate in industry events to expand their network. You are tasked with aligning the company's technology needs with the capabilities of potential partners and ensuring that the partnerships are strategic and result-oriented. Additionally, you will define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnerships, reporting progress and outcomes to management.
Main responsibilities
- conduct market research to identify potential partners, building a database of prospects that match our criteria,
- initiate and develop relationships with key figures in the startup ecosystem,
- lead the negotiation process, collaborating with legal teams to finalize partnership agreements,
- actively participate in industry events and utilize existing networks to uncover new partnership opportunities,
- define and monitor KPIs for partnerships, reporting progress and outcomes to management,
- ensure alignment between the company's technology needs and potential partners capabilities.
Competencies & Requirements
- at least 5 years in business development, partnerships, or related roles within the tech or startup sectors,
- possesses an extensive network within the startup and technology ecosystem, particularly in Western Europe, Scandinavia, and the US,
- strong negotiation and communication abilities, a solid understanding of technical concepts, and strategic, proactive thinking,
- ability to comprehend technical requirements and effectively align them with the capabilities of potential partners,
- demonstrates a strategic, proactive, and results-oriented approach to partnership building,
- good understanding of the Tech for Equity model and its strategic applications in business development.
