Overview

As a Strategic SLED Account Executive, you'll lead initiatives to enhance physical security for key education and government clients. By leveraging cutting-edge technology solutions, you’ll help guide these organizations towards a modernized and proactive approach to security, optimizing their operational efficiency. 

The ideal candidate embodies a self-driven and tenacious spirit, with a willingness to proactively engage in prospecting activities, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities to sustain individual sales funnels. You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing, Engineering and Product teams to position yourself as a Rhombus subject matter expert. In essence, you are a catalyst for positive change, inspiring organizations to embrace innovation and fortify their security infrastructure for a safer and more efficient future. 

What You'll Do:

  • Drive the full sales cycle for SLED business opportunities, including prospecting, outreach, product demos, trials, and strategic negotiations. 
  • Build and maintain relationships across diverse roles within education and government organizations to influence long-term strategic direction as a valued business partner. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Rhombus cameras and software, collaborating closely with Marketing, Engineering, and Product teams. 
  • Stay updated on Rhombus' product offerings, hardware, and features to effectively communicate their value to clients. 
  • Understand clients' physical security usage, modernization plans, technology strategies, and long-term goals. 
  • Foster relationships with Channel Managers and Partners to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the territory. 
  • Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals, guiding customers through the entire business cycle. 

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a focus on business development. Channel and reseller network experience is a plus. 
  • Direct field experience working with public sector accounts. 
  • Proficient in communicating and presenting to diverse personas, understanding their unique challenges across law enforcement, school administration, IT, etc. 
  • Proven track record of managing competitive and strategic sales, consistently achieving quotas. 
  • Ability to maintain a robust pipeline and engage in strategic outbound prospecting. 
  • Excellent communication skills with peers, customers, and partners. 
  • Comfortable with 50%+ travel.
