About the job
We are looking for an experienced, high-achieving individual to join the Strategy & Operations organization for the Communications business unit at Twilio. This high-visibility, high-stakes role owns the delivery of strategic cross-functional programs. Partnering with cross-functional leaders across the organization, this individual will be responsible for executing programs / strategic assignments that accelerate the success of the business. As the leader of a broad reaching, high-profile program, you will align with executives on goals and objectives, and drive these programs through impeccable execution.
This position requires exceptional communication skills and a high aptitude for leading through change. Organizational influence skills and the ability to think strategically and lead cross-disciplinary teams is a must. The right candidate will have a proven track record of exercising influences and driving execution among senior executives.

This individual must have relevant experience in leading strategic initiatives in high-execution and high-scale environments.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Have a direct impact on the performance of the Communications business unit
- Develop strategy and drive execution for strategic initiatives by partnering with senior leaders across the business (GTM, Product, Operations, Engineering, Finance, etc.) - fostering a culture of collaboration and data-driven decision making and execution
- Own the executive communication to influence and gain alignment on key decisions for the business
- Provide independent views and opinions in order to hold stakeholders accountable to the big-picture objective / end game
- Understand the strategic needs to the business and prioritize projects, define metrics for success, and ensure successful execution
- Experiment often and maintain flexibility to achieve the desired outcome: define success criteria and diligently track performance

Required:
- 8+ years of work experience in strategy, operations, finance, and/or consulting experience
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of operating at an executive level, helping to grow a mission-critical SaaS / Cloud Services business model
- Demonstrable skills in strategic planning and execution of highly cross-functional, high-stakes programs & assignments. Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to define solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong executive presence and ability to influence and work cross-functionally
- Experience working in high-execution, performance-focused environments
- Exceptional ability to problem-solve individually or in a group setting and understand key financial drivers of the business.
- Interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven experience articulating business operations and strategy related concepts to all audiences, including C-level executives
- Ability to shift priorities quickly, while maintaining a high degree of organization and control. Proven ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Perpetually curious and a builder at heart
Location
This role will be remote but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.
The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado: $132,000-$165,000.
- Based in New York, Washington State or California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area): $140,000-$175,000.
