COMPLY is looking for a creative Systems Engineer to join our newly established IT Infrastructure Operations team at a quickly growing firm in the financial compliance industry. The perfect candidate for this role is dedicated, switches gears effectively, and has a strong attention to detail. They will primarily focus on improving and maintaining existing systems or servers, being hands-on with production support issues, and working directly with our internal security team on escalated issues. 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools. 
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability for internal systems and clients. 
  •  Handle technology-based projects and triage incidents escalated from our security and engineering teams in a timely manner. 
  • Monitoring, reviewing, triaging, and updating incoming and escalated production or technical support tickets. 
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings to review status of technical issues, provide updates, and engage with teammates. 

Technical & Soft Skills:

  • Solid cloud computing skills, AWS strongly preferred. 
  • Solid general networking knowledge, including but not limited to web application firewalls and load balancers. 
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills relating to a production environment.
  • Strong Active Directory and DNS knowledge. 
  • Adaptable, and willing to be involved in many areas of the company. 
  • Ability to project manage and set proper expectations. 
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of email security, such as DMARC, DKIM, and SPF are a plus.
  • Scripting or automation skills are a plus. 
  • Strong Okta and SFTP skills are a plus. 
  • Development background in creating and maintaining database components is a plus!

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in CS or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience working with a production environment, or similar. 
  • Knowledge of MS SQL Server database, including understanding and debugging stored procedures is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

$75,000 - $85,000 a year

The compensation range for this role is specific to the United States. It takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, training, licensure and certification, and experience. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role would be $75,000-$85,000 plus applicable bonus/benefits offerings, etc., as those similarly situated within the Company.
