As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at PolicyMe, you'll play a pivotal role in growing our team by attracting top talent that not only adds to our culture but also drives our success. You will be the owner of every aspect of our recruitment process – from creating innovative sourcing strategies to guiding candidates through each stage of their interview experience to supporting the closing of each role. You will be at the forefront of building efficient and innovative hiring processes, maintaining our strong foundation, and providing candidates with an excellent experience as we continue to grow. Reports To: VP of People & Culture

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the recruitment process from beginning to end, from scoping out needs of hiring managers, to supporting creation of job descriptions, planning interview and selection processes, including intro calls, interviews and background and reference checks as required.
  • Develop your own KPIs for recruitment, track our performance against those metrics, identify areas for improvement and develop dashboards to present performance to leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Source and generate a strong candidate funnel by identifying social networks, industry events, online forums, and communities where talent gathers. Uncover new ways for PolicyMe to find and attract candidates for a variety of complex roles, including technical roles such as software engineers and product managers.
  • Effectively lead recruitment operations and manage candidates through our ATS (Lever) ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Regularly review and optimize recruitment workflows to ensure efficient hiring processes, and constantly seek ways to improve these processes for better outcomes.
  • Support the execution of key strategies to enhance our employer brand alongside our VP of People & Culture. Currently, this includes creating and managing content for our careers page and company LinkedIn page. In the future, we are interested in this person exploring ways to expand our presence on other social channels such as Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.
  • Lead all components of PolicyMe's co-op program, including maintaining existing partnerships across post-secondary institutions, supporting managers with identifying the needs for interns and selecting their top choice and partnering with our Finance team for requirements for grants and subsidies.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, HR or related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a high growth tech start up, fast pace agency or consulting environment is ideal. This role is perfect for someone who has built a foundation in recruiting and is seeking their next opportunity for growth.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and/or other sourcing tools is required.
  • Experience using Lever or a similar ATS to build out effective recruitment processes and metrics dashboards.
  • Experience recruiting for technical roles such as software engineering and product management is an asset.
  • You have a strong desire to learn, always seeking to improve your processes, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to take initiative and provide recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships at every level of an organization.
  • Preference for working in a fast-paced environment with an ethos of being reliable at its core.
