AS A PART-TIME TAX ANALYST, YOU WILL:

Support our ‘Senior Tax Analyst’ which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Collaborate with external accounting firms to ensure timely filings of both U.S. and foreign corporate tax returns as well as other various compliance deadlines.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of U.S. federal and state quarterly estimated taxable income tax calculations.
  • Assist with the annual preparation and review of U.S. and international tax provision calculations under ASC 740.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of U.S. sales & use tax returns, foreign GST/HST/PST or VAT calculations.
  • Maintain the organization and resolution of all incoming tax correspondence.
  • Remit timely tax payments for various jurisdictions.
  • Assist with monitoring tax issues, nexus impacts, and registration requirements.
  • Assist with tax planning and model development related to the Company’s M&A deals.
  • Assist with research and writing internal reports on various topics to support the Company’s tax positions.
  • Assist with all aspects of the Company’s corporate governance.
  • Assist with continuous process improvements and integration of various aspects of the tax function to achieve optimal efficiency, effective controls and quality.

OFFICE INFORMATION:

Leap Event Technology is a 100% remote-friendly company. However, we do offer the option of working in the office for employees located in Montréal (CAN), Pittsburgh (U.S.), Dallas (U.S.), Sydney (AUS). All of our offices are stocked with snacks and drinks and we provide a free lunch every week. We offer a monthly travel stipend, and even host the occasional themed party and happy hour!

If you don’t live near an office but happen to be visiting nearby, you can work from the office for as long as you need.

Leap Event Technology requires all Event Operations employees and contractors who will be representing the company at a client event to be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to attending. Job requirements

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent work experience specifically in tax accounting.
  • REQUIRED: Minimum of 2 years experience in tax accounting and compliance
  • Able to work well independently;
  • Able to meet deadlines with attention to detail;
