Tax Audit Data Manager
About the Team
DoorDash is looking for a strong Data professional to join our growing Tax Controversy Team. This role will be a key contributor to the Tax Team and will be responsible for supporting the technology & data needs of the tax controversy / audit team, in cooperation with the entire tax organization. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Tax Controversy.
As DoorDash continues to grow its global footprint across multiple business lines our need for large scale data and tools is compounding. We are looking for a candidate with experience implementing, using, and analyzing large ecosystems of tax data and advanced technologies needed to take on these growing challenges. This person will support the tax data needs generated by government review of our expanding business. You will liaise between various tax functions, engineering, accounting, and business teams to identify exposures and implement required changes to our tax data ecosystem. You will become an expert in the company’s data in pursuit of excellent outcomes in audits and disputes with tax authorities.

About the Role

- Work with large datasets and create proper governance processes
- You are a data detective who is willing to dig into the details of data and support the best possible outcomes of the tax controversy / audit team.
- Work directly with stakeholders to identify tax data and technology needs, define requirements, and manage implementation.
- Partner with tax technology and data stakeholders to design new data sources and tooling to fit the tax controversy / audit teams’ needs.
- Constantly challenge the status quo and think of smarter and more efficient ways to do things
- Solve complex problems leveraging data on a large scale.
- Have an innovative mindset
- Have experience in automation software and or Bots
- Package data in a way that it can be interpreted by the end user, with a focus on ensuring accuracy of data delivered
We’re excited about you because…
- You have your BA/BS Degree in Accountancy, MIS, Computer Science or a similar field of study.
- You have experience with managing large sets of financial data.
- You have 6+ years of data and automation experience; tax related data experience is a plus.
- You have deep experience in data analytics including running SQL queries
- You have experience in automation, RPA, Alteryx etc
- You have familiarity with technology tools such as Alteryx Desktop, Snowflake, Python.
- You have experience understanding business requirements and converting those into data and technology solutions.
- You have experience with participating in the analysis and testing of new data sets.
- You have strong attention to detail and analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- You’re an independently motivated person with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work independently.
- You’re curious and driven to find the right answer.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You have a sense of humor (or at least a tolerance for others who think they have one), a strong moral compass, and compassion for others.
Additional (Preferred) Qualifications:
- Background in tax audits
- Experience with Database and ETL best practices
- Knowledge of scripting languages and reviewing code for accuracy
- CMI, or CMI candidate

Compensation
The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.

$125,300—$208,800 USD
Colorado Pay Range:
$118,300—$187,900 USD
Hawaii Pay Range:
$118,300—$177,500 USD
New Jersey Pay Range:
$118,300—$208,800 USD
New York Pay Range:
$118,300—$208,800 USD
Washington Pay Range:
$118,300—$198,400 USD
