Job Summary: As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing the preparation and review of U.S. tax returns, with a focus on business returns for partnerships (Form 1120S). You will work closely with clients, providing strategic tax planning and compliance services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in U.S. tax regulations and a proven track record of managing tax engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns, particularly business returns for partnerships (Form 1120S).
- Ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients.
- Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business operations and develop tailored tax solutions.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Assist with the resolution of tax audits and inquiries.
- Prepare financial statements and reports related to tax engagements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or MST is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in U.S. tax, with a focus on business returns for partnerships (Form 1120S).
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
- Proven experience in managing tax engagements and leading a team.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
