We are looking for a skilled tax specialist to collaborate with our legal, accounting and finance departments. In this role, the tax specialist will help design and implement tax policies and strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant statutes and regulatory requirements. The role also requires tax planning and reporting, including the review of corporate tax returns. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex tax-related challenges.
What you might be doing:
- Develop business and investment strategies for tax and VAT optimization
- Verify the accuracy of tax related records and documents
- Find tax solutions to complicated international tax issues
- Answer technical questions regarding international tax laws
- Maintain written and oral communications between the company and all relevant advisors, local accountants, auditors and regulatory agencies
- Remain up to date with changes in the tax code and accounting laws
- Conduct research on tax compliance issues at local and international levels
- Reconciliation of accounts and analysis on a group level
- Participation in the monthly and annual closings and audits for all the entities of the group
What you might bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Proven track record as a tax specialist, tax accountant, tax analyst or similar role, Big 4 firm experience a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
- Fluent in written and spoken English is a must, French is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a virtual, global organization
- Highly detail-oriented
