Team Lead, DevOps

We are looking for a Team Lead, DevOps for our new cloud-native product. This product is designed to create backups of Microsoft 365 in public clouds. It will be developed with cloud-native architecture, which is recommended for public clouds such as AWS and Azure. We will be building a SaaS solution based on existing components that we already use in our company’s hosted solutions.
Your tasks will include:
- Develop, build and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient SaaS application platform to meet established service levels
- Implementation and support of delivery pipelines
- Automate build, test, and deployment for distributed, fault-tolerant infrastructure
- Monitoring and incident response for distributed applications
- Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production using best practices
- Utilize a combination of open-source and custom software to solve product challenges
- Drive improvement to operational practices and procedures
- Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance, such as ISO (International Standards Organization), SOX (Sarbanes Oxley), SSAE (Standards for Attestation Engagements) 16, etc.
- Exert considerable influence on the overall objectives and long-term goals of your team
- Shepherd the definition, documentation, and improvement of our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices
Technologies we work with:
- Microsoft TFS, Azure DevOps, Git
- AWS (ECS, RDS, DynamoDb, VPCs, Step Functions, Lambda, IAM, EC2, S3, etc.)
- Azure (Entra ID, API Management, Cosmos Db, Storage services, Azure Functions, static website hosting, Azure security, etc.)
- IaC tools (Azure ARM templates, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, the Serverless Framework, etc.)
- Observability (Elastic[ELK], Splunk)
What we expect from you:
- 3+ years of experience in 24x7 production operations for a SaaS (Software as a Service) or cloud service provider
- Experience with design, implementation and maintenance of leading infrastructure and application monitoring tools (Elastic)
- Experience architecting Azure IaaS (infrastructure as a service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service) offerings
- Experience with container orchestration and management platforms (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Deeply understand, deployed and managed Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Possess system programming skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go etc.
- Experienced with implementation, maintenance and support of CI/CD practices and tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- You can diagnose and troubleshoot applications and cloud infrastructure
- You have a strong understanding of networking concepts
- You are experienced with distributed, event-based messaging architectures (Azure Event Hub, Azure Service Bus, Kafka, etc.)
- English proficiency level sufficient to communicate with international teams
