Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking for “Technical Lead – VB6” who could join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. Role: Technical Lead – VB6

JD:

  • Good hands-on experience with .NET systems
  • Working knowledge on VB6
  • Good knowledge on MSSQL
  • Working knowledge on SSRS will be needed

Good to Have:

  • Healthcare or LifeScience background is preferred
  • Good understanding on HL7 (preferred, not mandatory)
  • Production Support experience
  • Willing to be available during off hours (for on-call support) - MANDATORY
  • Willing to work in night shift for 1 week in every 5-6 weeks
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Identify root causes of technical issues, job failures.
  • Demonstrate problem solving, analysis, and prioritization skills.
  • Implement best production support programming practices
  • Perform level of effort estimates for assigned tasks and change orders
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate with users at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Should be well versed with ITIL framework
  • Knowledge on Splunk or Dynatrace or Moogsoft
  • Should be responsible to review/maintain KEDB on regular basis
  • Engage and escalate with appropriate teams / stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Manage critical business application changes, enhancements, and process improvements
  • Maintain partnership with relevant stakeholders including Business, Information Technology counterparts and Vendors
  • Hands on working experience in using any ITSM tools like service now, Jira
  • Knowledge in database Oracle, MS SQL, PLSQL
  • Creating Reports, Ad-hoc data / statistics extraction as required using the application and / or database and SQL queries.
