We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background along with proven project management skills on ROR. The primary responsibility of the Technical Project Manager will be to oversee the planning and execution of various technical projects while effectively communicating with both internal engineering teams and external stakeholders. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered within agreed timeframes, quality standards, and scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Head the planning and implementation of multiple technical projects of varying sizes simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project lifecycle methodologies.
  • Track, manage, and report project progress to all stakeholders, including deliverables, timeframes, and quality standards, in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and engineering to create comprehensive project plans and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage extensively with engineering, product development, and other cross-functional teams to facilitate the delivery of new or existing products.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies to manage projects efficiently and adaptively respond to changing requirements.
  • Leverage project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Asana to facilitate project planning, tracking, and communication.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of assessing complex technical challenges and devising effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience implementing them in project management.
  • Any Agile certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) is a plus.
  • Experience in mentoring or managing junior project managers is desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience as a project manager, with a focus on technical projects on ROR.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project lifecycle methodologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple technical projects to completion.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Flexibility to work during US hours is essential for this role.
  • Candidates must have their own system/work setup for remote work.
