Job Description

As a Technical Writer at Baseten, you will craft technical product documentation, tutorials, and other content for an audience of ML engineers. You’ll gain deep knowledge of ML models, inference optimization, and infrastructure and deliver that knowledge to our users in an approachable, engaging manner.

In your application, please include links to three pieces of writing that you’re proud of.

As a Technical Writer, You

  • Write technical product documentation (tutorials, guides, references, and more) both individually and in collaboration with engineers as subject matter experts.
  • Own strategy for documentation — decide what to write and how to write it after developing an understanding of what users need.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in general software engineering skills to operate and improve our docs-as-code infrastructure.
  • Contribute technical content across non-documentation channels like our blog and model library.

You Also

  • Are resourceful and are happy to roll up your sleeves to get any job done. You can take the lead on initiatives and pull in the necessary resources when you get stuck.
  • Have high user empathy. You’re eager to understand our customers' needs and what resonates with them.
  • Demonstrate pride, ownership, and accountability for your work and expect the same from your teammates.
