Technical Writer
Job Description
We're looking for an experienced technical writer with technical aptitude and excellent writing and editing skills to join us and deliver high-quality documentation to our users.
We're seeking someone who can quickly form good working relationships with developers and work collaboratively to produce excellent documentation that simplifies, explains, and empowers users to get the most out of DoubleCloud. Our process includes writing from scratch, revising draft documents supplied by developers, and overhauling legacy content.

What You'll Be Doing
- Structure, write, edit, and review user guides, use cases, and API documentation to help users get the most from our product at https://double.cloud/docs/en/
- Support multiple development teams to deliver high-quality technical content within a fast-paced software release schedule.
- Help our globally distributed team improve the documentation user experience.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
- Experience working as a technical writer on different types of documentation such as API guides, developer’s guides, step-by-step instructions, use cases and concepts.
- Experience writing and publishing user-facing documentation for an international audience.
- Impeccable standard of written and spoken English.
- Experience balancing multiple priorities and delivering results within tight deadlines.
You Might Also Have
- Experience producing documentation using Markdown, as well as an understanding of source control tools like GitHub
- Familiarity with Docs-as-Code tools is considered an advantage.
- Experience using issue trackers such as JIRA to track project tasks.
- Understanding of cloud technologies concepts like AWS, GCP or Azure
- Experience working with Databases and basic development knowledge in at least one of these languages: Python, NodeJS, Java, C#.
