Job Description

Link Solutions Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer to join our team in Ft. Novosel, AL.

  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Must have a DoD Secret Clearance

The Technical Writer will support NETCOM (U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command), in creating clear and concise documentation that assists military personnel in understanding and utilizing complex network technologies. The Technical Writer will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and system administrators to produce user manuals, technical guides, and standard operating procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides broad-based technical editing/writing skills in a wide variety of areas, including Configuration Management Plans, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, User Guides, Software Release Notes/Documentation, training materials, Web page content, and other system documentation.
  • Create delivery schedules for assigned work products that include reviews of drafts, document updates, and final work products.
  • Create well-structured and accurate documentation to include user manuals, guides, and technical specifications.
  • Manages, documents, tracks, plans, and reports on work assignments.
  • Prioritizes efforts based on direction from end customers.
  • Maintain strict version control over all work products and log requests and changes within the documents.

Qualifications

  • US Citizen 
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • BA/BS with three (3+) years experience OR five (5+) years experience in technical editing, developing, managing schedules, and documentation configuration management.
  • Experience writing or editing technical reports, articles, manuals, or specifications. 
  • Expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and AI/Client tools.
  • Experience in scheduling, managing document reviews, and development of technical documents.

Preferred:

  • Experience providing DoD organizations with technical editing support.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
