The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team which is embedded in the Product & Engineering organisation. As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating and editing clear and comprehensive documentation for our Core Banking products, ensuring that end-users, developers, and other stakeholders can easily understand and utilise our technologies.

You are a proactive self-starter with a hands-on mentality as you will play a key role to shape and transform the Technical Writer & Editor role for the future to set up the team for success by proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements in documentation workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Organise and maintain a centralised repository for all technical documentation, keeping it up-to-date with the latest software releases and enhancements. Implement version control and document change tracking to facilitate efficient updates and revisions.
  • Review and edit documentation for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to company style guidelines.
  • Ensure documentation is written in a clear and concise manner, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation for software products, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and release notes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts such as developers, product managers, security, etc. to validate technical content and incorporate feedback into the documentation and ensure accuracy in the documentation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer & Editor, Software Developer, or similar roles having worked with OpenAPI specifications and REST.
  • Ideally track record in the financial services / banking software industry, managing projects and collaborating with technical stakeholders.
  • Strong command of the English language and excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Proficiency with tools such as Markdown, Doc360, Jira, Confluence, Git, Redocly, Readme, Stoplight, Phrase.com
  • Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into easily understandable, customer facing documentation.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality documentation within specified deadlines.
