Technical Writer
Description
Robert Half's client, a global company in the energy management sector, is seeking a freelance Technical Writer to support their team. This Technical Writer will be employed on a freelance, project by project basis, and will be expected to work approximately 20 hours per week. This is a remote opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Design, write, and update technical documentation for electrical equipment
- Assist in planning, scheduling, tracking documentation work
- Deliverables: instruction bulletins, product catalogs, data bulletins, manuals, and more
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience writing technical documentation
- Experience interviewing technical subject matter experts (SMEs)
- Technical skills: FrameMaker, Illustrator, HTML5, DITA/XML (must have)
- Nice to have: Arbortext/Windchill
