Please be sure to price this discount in your overall price proposal when submitting bids against off-site RFQs

Duties and Role:

The organization is looking for a technical writer with the following duties:

  • Producing high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Working with internal teams and external subcontractors on product and documentation requirements
  • Writing clear and concise requirement, design, testing, installation and accreditation documentation
  • Creating end-user documentation; including, tutorials, manuals, troubleshooting guides
  • Editing, proofreading and revising/rewriting existing content
  • Maintaining a coherent technical terminology and documentation set in the project

Requirements

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Excellent IT technical writing and communication skills (English) with proven experience of at least 5 years
  • Practical experience in working with Microsoft Office (spreadsheet, word processor and visualization) tools
  • Practical experience in working with Microsoft Visio
  • Practical experience in working with Microsoft SharePoint to manage document repositories, configurations and content.
  • Experience in using Enterprise Architecture tools
  • Good knowledge of Enterprise IT infrastructures, Microsoft 365 and cloud computing technologies.
  • Good knowledge of CIS Security and accreditation processes
  • Former experience in NCIA and knowledge of the NATO/NCI Agency structure and CIS security/accreditation process and procedures (preferable)
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts in standards/product descriptions/manuals and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to work efficiently with internal technical teams and external subcontractors on product and documentation requirements
  • Excellent formal writing skills in English
  • A Certificate of Security Obligation will be required
