Your typical day at work:

As a Tier 1 Technical Support Specialist, you will be the first line of technical assistance for home security services. You will be:

  • Answering incoming and placing outbound calls to existing customers to help answer technical assistance questions and provide solutions for a major home security company
  • Troubleshooting company products and services; enhancing the customer experience through excellent communication of complex situations and solutions.
  • Use systems to dispatch technicians if necessary

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-6 months of technical customer service experience, 1 year of call center experience an asset
  • Must possess a strong ability to interact with customers remotely to negotiate spending time on the phone, working through the alarm issue remotely vs. receiving service within the home or business
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to empathize with customers, breaking down complex problems into understandable/common terms is also necessary
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical aptitude, problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple items at once

Important Details:

  • Fully Remote Position – Must reside in and be legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada for the duration of your employment
  • Must have open availability to work between 2 pm – Midnight EST Monday - Sunday, as per business needs (split days off)
  • Immediate start dates available
  • Must have your own Windows 10/11 computer that you can use for work. It must be able to connect directly to the modem with an Ethernet cable, with a minimum 8 GB available RAM. You will also need a minimum internet speed of 30 mbps download and 10 mbps upload
