The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and user-centered design, and be able to translate feature requirements into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces. As a UI designer, you’ll be working alongside the product and software development teams to create and deliver delightful user experiences across the Paytronix platform. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the product development process, from prioritization to creating mockups, to design, build, and launch. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and updating the visual side of our UI component library as well as creating wireframes and mockups for new features and UI updates.

The kind of stuff you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to deliver new features and updated UI experiences
  • Execute all visual design tasks from concept to final hand-off to engineering, including UI mock-ups and wireframes
  • Creating high-fidelity mockups that display innovative, beautiful, and user-centered designs
  • Work closely with engineering to oversee execution and build of a new product/features; be the "go-to" person when design specs require clarification or change
  • Manage and update standards for UI components, keeping them aligned with brand standards
  • Present and gain alignment for designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback as needed
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
  • Provide recommendations about UI and UX to development teams across the Paytronix platform
  • Work independently across multiple teams
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS - you won’t need to code, but you should be able to understand the boundaries of a web-based application

The kind of experience/skills you’ll need:

  • 2+ years of B2B UI experience, ideally in a SaaS setting
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, mock-ups, user flows, and process flows, with a portfolio to demonstrate these skills
  • Experience defining a design strategy and breaking down into shippable elements
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • Experience in user interviews and decision making based on usage data
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate your design vision and advocate for your design decisions.
