The role
As a part of the growing team of talented designers and in collaboration with our global Engineering Solutions product portfolio team, you'd be working to improve the appeal and user experience of our solutions and provide interface design support. This role requires a high degree of curiosity, motivation, energy, persistence, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who thrives on tackling new challenges with a pragmatic approach.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an enthusiastic advocate for our customers;
- Translate user needs and requirements into elegant solutions for complex problems;
- Provide low to high-fidelity wireframes, concepts, and finalized designs to support multiple Engineering Solution products;
- Collaborate with product teams on solutions' ideation, prototyping, and user testing
- Work closely with developers on acceptance criteria for design and interactions;
- Drive the development of organizational Design Systems (Pattern Libraries, Style Guides, Accessibility guidelines);
- Leverage research and analytics to inform design decisions;
- Advocate the importance of user-centered design across all areas of the business;
Education/Experience requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Centered Design, or Computer Science;
- 3-5 years of experience in User Interface design;
- Portfolio to demonstrate past work (wireframing and visual design examples);
- Strong visual and interaction design skills;
- Ability to translate complex topics into intuitive interfaces;
- Proficiency with prototyping software such as Axure, Sketch or Figma. Visual design software Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, XD, Illustrator, InDesign);
- Familiar with accessible and inclusive design best-practices;
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate with remote peers;
- Familiar with Agile software development for B2B SaaS products;
- Experience with complex data visualizations and data-intensive interfaces is a plus;
- Intermediate to advanced English language skills required - Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication, including the ability to develop and conduct internal presentations.
Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $145,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
