We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to focus on our Updox product. Updox provides next-generation virtual care, patient engagement and office productivity solutions that enable practices to reduce costs and drive revenue. Based on increasing demand for solutions that seamlessly work together to improve practice efficiency and provide an engaging patient experience, Updox has continuously brought new functionality to market. Responsibilities:

A DevOps Engineer is responsible for participating in all aspects of deploying, documenting, monitoring, and maintaining the infrastructure and delivery pipeline critical to the success of the business. These activities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and enhance our CI/CD Pipeline
  • Maintain and improve our Containerization Platforms
  • Monitoring Existing Infrastructure
  • Deploying/Configuring New Infrastructure/Containers
  • Automating Management Tasks
  • Troubleshooting and Fixing Infrastructure Issues
  • Writing and Updating Documentation
  • Plan/Automate/Deploy New Infrastructure/Containers
  • Troubleshoot/Fix/Document Existing Infrastructure
  • Participate in Pairing/Reviews
  • Meetings/Presentations/Demos

Skills and experience needed to be successful in the role:

  • 1+ years experience in AWS, S3, and Kubernetes/Docker
  • 1+ years experience with Linux server administration
  • Some experience working with Java, Spring boot, Web Services, REST is preferred
  • 1+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code i.e., Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible, Puppet
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices, particularly on distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
  • 1+ years experience with one or more languages such as Java, Go, C++, C# or Ruby
  • Experience working with relational data stores like MariaDB, Percona, or Mysql
  • Experience with monitoring and tracing tools like DataDog, Elastic APM, Dynatrace is preferred
  • Experience with continuous integration (CI), unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery (CD) experience is preferred i.e., Jenkins, TeamCity
  • Proficiency with Git
  • Propensity to overcome challenges and solve hard problems
  • Internal drive for continuous improvement (knowledge, standards, best practices)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust communication to fit the audience
  • Relentless desire to deliver, say what you’ll do, and do what you say
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science is preferred or equivalent experience

Where:

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
