UX Designer
Evolving Web, a premier full-service digital agency specializing in the design, development, and maintenance of large institutional websites, is seeking an experienced UX Designer. Based in our Montreal office, we're looking for a dynamic professional to enhance our team's capabilities in delivering exceptional digital experiences, particularly in the sectors of higher education, government and healthcare institutions.
In your role as UX Designer, you will be expected to:
- Lead and execute UX design projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives
- Conduct thorough UX research and stakeholder consultations
- Design and facilitate workshops to gather input and align diverse perspectives
- Develop high-quality wireframes and Figma prototypes for Drupal and WordPress websites
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes with art directors and developers to realize conceptual designs
- Perform usability testing and refine designs based on user feedback
- Present findings, wireframes and design rationales to clients
- Coach and mentor junior designers
Requirements
What kind of skillset do you need to be successful in your role within the Evolving community?
- Minimum of 8 years of professional work experience in UX design
- Experience working in a digital agency environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects with excellent context-switching abilities
- Strong client-facing and presentation skills
- Proficiency in UX research, particularly in higher education or government projects
- In-depth experience with Figma for designing and wireframing
- Experience in usability testing and design optimization
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred
Additional Attributes:
- Comfortable with public speaking and capable of representing Evolving Web at conferences
- Skilled in proposal writing and pitch delivery
- Experience with information architecture and creation of sitemaps
- Team-oriented with the ability to work effectively with art directors and other team members
