About the Role
Grio is looking for a fully remote, full-time, UX Designer to join our design team. In this role, you will have an exciting opportunity to work on interesting and complex problems across a variety of industries. This is what to expect during your first year with Grio as a UX Designer:
- You will complete 3-4 UX projects for a variety of clients and industries including but not limited to Insurance, Architecture, Ecommerce, and Manufacturing.
- You will learn how Grio project teams of designers, product and project managers, QA engineers, and software developers work together to deliver high quality products and solutions to clients.
- You will build a relationship with the Grio design team through team meetings and project work. The design team is a close knit group of designers who encourage, support, and learn from each other.
- You will meet Grio employees through project work, All Hands meetings, and other Grio sponsored virtual and in-person social activities.
- You will maintain Grio’s high standards of communication with your ability to actively listen to clients to strengthen relationships and build trust.
Requirements
About You
You ideally have previous experience working with clients or in a design agency, can work independently and autonomously, pivot easily and run in a different direction when needed, and can receive constructive feedback without losing momentum. We are seeking someone who enjoys simplifying complex workflows, advocating for users, has problem-solving and active listening skills with the ability to ask critical questions of clients, and can communicate designs and their nuances to engineers and stakeholders. You should have strong experience working with a distributed workforce in a highly-collaborative environment. To be considered, please answer the screening questions and share your resume. - 4+ years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably in an agency setting, with proven success communicating design concepts, rationale, and technical terminology to clients
- Extensive experience with the following:
- Planning interviews and user testing, moderating feedback sessions, analysis, and applying the insights to UX deliverables
- Creating UX deliverables such as site maps, user flows, and both low- and high- fidelity wireframes
- Designing for web, responsive web, and native mobile platforms
- Writing UX documentation that allows the development team to implement solutions successfully
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (fellow designers, product managers, developers) to create and deliver designs solutions that meet project requirements
- Experience with Figma
